In opposition to mainstream thinking, no gaming chip going as far back as the 1950s has been 100% earth. Current earth casino chips are a piece of materials more tough than mud alone. Probably some level of the casino chips is of an earthen material, for example, sand, chalk, and mud like that found in feline litter. The procedure used to make these chips is a prized formula, and fluctuates somewhat by maker, most being generally costly and tedious per chip. The edge spots, or embeds, are not painted on; to accomplish this impact, this region of the earth is expelled and afterward supplanted with dirt of an alternate shading; this should be possible to each chip independently or a strip can be removed from a barrel shaped square of material and supplanted with the substitute shading before the square is cut into chips. At that point each chip gets a mid-trim whenever wanted, and is set in an extraordinary shape that warms and packs the casino chips at roughly 10,000 psi (70 MPa) at 300 °F (150 °C), consequently the term pressure formed chips.
